Extended Family
The Extended Family is a partnership between our congregation and Lafayette Christian Church to provide furniture and household items to previously homeless families and helps them move into their own home with dignity. SHELTER, Inc., the Veteran’s Administration and Winter Nights locate housing and the Extended Family program provides the household items.
In 2026, we are celebrating 32 years of this vital ministry. In 2014 we celebrated our 200th move; now it’s over 500 moves. Take a look at this video that was created in 2014 to celebrate the amazing accomplishment of 200 moves!

ILSP (Independent Living Skills Program)
Youth aging out of the Foster System need help learning how to live on their own. ILSP supplies clothing, skills training, education, and support for these vulnerable youth. Our church supports them in many ways, supplying and organizing clothing, giving materials for Thanksgiving dinners, keeping the food cupboard supplied, supplying labor for their large workshops, etc.
